Virtual Collaborative Audition

Apply for Ballet 5:8’s Summer Intensive Pre-Professional A, Collegiate or Professional Levels, plus Second Company, Trainee and Conservatory Year-Round Programs, and professional positions with Ballet 5:8, Ad Deum Dance Company, and Inlet Dance Theater all in one audition.
We recommend downloading the free Zoom app prior to the audition. Your meeting link and your audition number will be sent to you via email prior to the audition. Only one auditioner* per registration.
Pre-registration is required; audition fee is $35.

Professional Level Collaborative Audition
Dancers of a professional level, post-high school can elect to attend the modern, phrase work and improv sections of the Ages 16+ audition in order to be considered for professional positions with Ballet 5:8, Ad Deum Dance Company and Inlet Dance Theatre.
What to Expect & What to Wear
Plan to take class in a well-lit area with your full body in view of your camera. You can take class at a studio if available, or at home.
Be set up and sign on to Zoom at least 15 minutes prior to the audition to confirm your attendance (this also allows time to resolve any technical issues if applicable). Contact us at 708-329-8773 if needed.
Use a reliable internet connection whenever possible.
Change the name on your Zoom device to your first and last name plus your assigned audition number, matching the name on your pre-registration application (i.e. change from “Jane’s iPad” to “115 | Jane Doe”)
Send a headshot and first arabesque photo to info@ballet58.org (on pointe for ladies); photos need not be professional, only clear and well-lit.
First arabesque photos should be recent (within 3 months of the time of the audition).
Ladies: wear solid colored leotard and pink tights, pointe shoes.
Men: wear a white shirt and black tights/shoes.

A letter of recommendation from your pastor, elder or other church leader who can testify to your spiritual walk.
For Applicants Attending the Professional Audition for Ad Deum Dance Company, Ballet 5:8 and Inlet Dance Theatre
Applicants must have completed their high school academic studies and be of a professional level.
Ad Deum and Inlet Dance Theatre | submit a 1-2 minute solo video or dance reel prior to the time of the audition, to info@ballet58.org.
