Essentials Series

A weekly open technique class taught by the best teachers at the School of Ballet 5:8. Come learn the secrets to the signature Ballet 5:8 style and movement quality. This class will focus on essentials like turnout, plie coordination, foot articulation, musicality, and more. The class is open to dancers age 11+ and is suitable for School of Ballet 5:8 dancers in Ballet 2A or higher.

Interested in Booking a Ballet 5:8 Master Class?

Ballet 5:8 is available to teach classes for dance students at all levels of ability. Our master classes feature disciplines like ballet technique, pointe, Ballet 5:8 repertoire, and contemporary. Classes can be scheduled in a variety of formats. Attendees will get to interact with Ballet 5:8’s signature movement style, which is based in Vaganova technique, with a blend of Balanchine aesthetics, crafted by Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager to fit the company’s vision for innovative storytelling and breathtaking dance. Students will also be able to gain inspiration from the insights of Ballet 5:8’s company’s diverse group of professional performing artists, and their commitment to teaching in a way that nurtures students while challenging them to reach their fullest potential. Master classes are hosted by one studio in each touring city and are open to all students in the area.
