A Culture of Excellence, Integrity, and Growth

It’s one thing to have a mission. It’s another thing to live it.

At Ballet 5:8, we practice what we believe every single day. Here's how:

  • In the School, we pursue technical excellence and character development. We care about how students show up, how they support their peers, and how they grow as people—not just dancers. We expect parents, teachers and students to operate in mutual respect for each other.

  • In the Company, we create original work that pushes the boundaries of what ballet can say. Dancers are part of the creative process, engaging in work that’s physically demanding and emotionally meaningful.

  • Behind the scenes, our leadership, staff, and faculty commit to leading with transparency, integrity, and a deep care for each individual. Whether it’s an 8-year-old in their first ballet class or a professional dancer preparing for a world premiere, everyone matters.

Our vision is to be a place where faith and art thrive together. A place where excellence doesn’t come at the cost of compassion. And a place where the next generation of artists is equipped—not just to perform, but to lead.

This is how we live the mission - it’s not just words - it’s a deeply cherished part of our culture.

Dance is a great unifier. We can all come as we are and we can all leave a little richer for having been guided by brave, curious souls who move with great conviction onstage.
