Pick one word to describe the overall season. Why?

A blessing. It was such a pleasure to still be able to perform despite the circumstances. Whether it was outside, online, or in a black box theater, I was grateful for the opportunity to still push forward with the mission of Ballet 5:8 and have a full season.

Can you share a favorite moment from on or offstage?

My favorite moment was entering a theater again for the first time in over a year. We were all overjoyed and extremely thankful to be able to perform in a theater venue again.

Out of all the works you performed this season, does one stand out as the most meaningful or most notable for you personally? Why?

I loved all the works I was in this year, but the one that stands out the most to me would have to be Reckless. I had the honor of portraying the role of Young Gomer. I enjoyed being a part of this impactful ballet and getting to work through the creative process to bring this story to life.

Is there a particular quote or idea that has been inspirational to you this season?

Psalm 118:24 has been inspirational to me this season. It says, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”. I want to appreciate each day that God gives me.

What are you up to this summer?

I will be teaching over the summer, as well as cross-training and taking class to stay in shape. I have a couple of vacations planned to see my family too!
