You’re invited to take part in one of 24 live performances of the brand new Beyond the Nutcracker Experience, based on Beyond the Nutcracker, at Ballet 5:8’s Black Box Theater inside its Orland Park studios. You’ll enjoy the magic and inspiration of Tchaikovsky’s magical score, dancers from Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts in-person and on film, guest artists from the Ballet 5:8 professional company, and original choreography by Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager, plus a brand-new interactive exhibit that transports you to the countries that Emma visits. Seating for each performance is limited and is uniquely configured for each show to seat household groups together while maintaining distance from other guests; masks are required. Bring the entire family and join Emma, Uncle Abrahms, and the angel Anastasis on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that leads to the story of the first Christmas.

Performance Information

Performances will take place inside Ballet 5:8’s studio 1, transformed into a black box theater. Ticketing is general admission, but guests will be seated in assigned groups according to ticket purchase. If you plan to attend the performance with one or more members of your household and wish to sit together, please purchase your tickets as a group. Guests with individual ticket purchases will be seated individually. Individual and group seating will be socially distant between seats or groups as applicable. All guests will be required to wear a mask throughout the performance.

Parking

Free parking is available on both sides of the building. Please enter through Door 101.

Children

This performance is family-friendly! Children need to be able to sit for the hour period, give or take, in order to enjoy the performance! All individuals including children require a ticket. There is no (free) lap-seating for infants due to building capacity restrictions.

Discounts
Ticket discounts are available for some Ballet 5:8 performances, but this performance has limited capacity and no discounts are available.

Refunds and Exchanges
If you purchase a ticket and later have a change of plans, we encourage you to contact us to exchange your tickets for a different performance. Or, see if a friend may want to go to the performance instead! Tickets purchases are non-refundable.

Event Cancellation
We understand that we are living in uncertain times! In the event that public health conditions precipitate the cancellation of this performance, you will have the option to transfer your ticket to an alternate day/time, donate your ticket purchase, or receive a refund.
