Q: As a professional, you get to let more of your personal style be reflected in your ballet attire—in three words, how would you describe your style?
A: Simple, classic, thrifted.
Q: What's your favorite warm up or leotard that brings you joy?
A: Can I have two? I have a strawberry leotard that was given to me as a surprise from a few friends, and I also have a Winnie the Pooh shirt I sometimes wear at the end of a long week. They both make me smile!
Q: What are the top five things in your dance bag?
Shoes, both flats and pointe shoes
Warm-ups
A ballet skirt or athletic shorts, depending on the rep being rehearsed that day
A fun/restful thing for the occasional break (a book, colored pencils, and matcha latte mix are a few examples)
My laptop and phone for teaching in the evenings
Q: What is one piece of dance wear or accessory you can't live without?
A: Leg warmers. They have definitely become a staple for me.
