Q: Describe your experience during the creation and rehearsal process of Golden Sessions. What have been the most challenging and rewarding parts of learning this ballet?
A: It has been an absolute joy as well as an honor to be in the studio with Ms. Julianna during the creation process of Golden Sessions. Having a work of art created on you is such a unique privilege and knowing that you are the first person to ever dance those steps is deeply exhilarating. The most challenging part of learning this ballet has definitely been the music - while utterly glorious, it can at times be very difficult to count. But even more rewarding is when everyone begins to feel the music together, becoming one mind and working together to produce this masterpiece.
Q: What is your favorite movement of Golden Sessions to dance and why? How would you describe the choreographic style of this movement?
A: My favorite movement to dance is Eros, the romantic love. Inspired by the sweeping and expressive music, the choreographic style of this movement is tender yet passionate. The motif of the movement is flame, illustrating the fervor of romantic love.
