Ticket FAQ

Will tickets be refunded if I can no longer attend because of COVID-19?

No, tickets will not be refunded if you contract COVID-19 or have to quarantine and can no longer attend.

Will tickets be refunded if Ballet 5:8 has to cancel the live performance due to COVID-19?

No, Ballet 5:8 will Livestream the performance if a live audience is not permitted to attend. You will also receive a complimentary ticket to any Ballet 5:8 performance in the 21/22 season.

What will happen if Ballet 5:8 cannot host a Livestream due to the city of Chicago being closed down by the day of the performance?

All tickets will be refunded.

How many people are permitted to attend each performance?

Only 50 patrons are allowed per performance.

How is seating determined for the performance?

Seating will be general admission, with at least three seats in between parties and only seating in every other row.

What are the COVID-19 safety protocols?

  • Limited seating - only 50 patrons allowed. The theatre normally holds 750.

  • Additional cleaning

  • All patrons are required to wear a face mask that covers their nose and mouth at all times.

  • All patrons will have their temperature taken prior to entering the theatre.

  • All Ballet 5:8 dancers are in partner pods to help keep them safe while dancing and partnering without masks.

Why are tickets $100 when Ballet 5:8 normally charges around $35 per ticket?

The Reckless premiere will serve as a fundraiser for Ballet 5:8. Due to the limitations on audience capacity and performances this season there has been a strain on ticket income that supports the wages of the artistic staff including all dancers and supporting artistic staff. The increase in ticket prices will also help cover the theatre rental which would otherwise take a few hundred audience members to cover.

Your ticket also supports nonprofits fighting human trafficking in their community.

Ticket sales from every Reckless performance will support a nonprofit combating sex trafficking in that area with a 5% donation of total ticket sales.
