Ballet 5:8’s focus is Chicago, third largest city in the United States. The city of Chicago, with a population of nearly 2.7 million, has a vibrant arts community and a variety of dance companies and dance venues—but can dance be pursued from the perspective of a Christian worldview? Ballet 5:8 exists based on the premise that it CAN. In fact, we believe that we can worship God, encourage our (Chicagoan, Greater Chicago Area, and worldwide) neighbors, and share a little of God’s love with some of those 2.7 million people through our dancing.

Ballet 5:8’s studio and rehearsal space is located in the southwest suburb of Frankfort, Illinois. Though not in the heart of the city or its neighborhoods, the studios serve as a central location for the dancers who live in the city as well as the South suburbs. Additionally, Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts (in residence with the Ballet 5:8 company) attracts over 130 students each year from the surrounding city and suburban areas.
